Cape Hake is a ray-finned fish and is found in the south eastern Atlantic Ocean along the coast of South Africa. It comes in a shallow-water and a deep water types and is one of the few not over-fished species due to responsible practices of Commercial Fisheries. They are caught in the trawl or long line sector.
